During unit 2, you will need to complete four write-ups to demonstrate your progress in the course. All write-ups will be used as evidence that will go towards you final grade, they will also be a good source of information for your final written assessment, so they are very important.
You must complete your write-ups in silence and under exam conditions.
Your teachers will take in your write-ups for review and will return it in a later lesson with feedback. You will be given the opportunity in class to respond to their comments before you files the write-up in your project folder as evidence of your work.

Write-up 1 preparation
(a) Choose an issue and say why it is important locally and nationally. Attach issue-based evidence.

(b) Describe how the issue links to Citizenship themes from Unit 1. (hint - These are the areas we have looked at in previous lessons; rights & responsibilities; power, politics & the media; the global community)
