Lesson 10: Conducting research |
|
My research
By now you should have already undertaken some research and have collected several pieces of evidence for your folder. At a minimum this should include: > An article or similar based on the issue you are investigating for your project (HW3) > Evidence for the two people in positions of authority and power that you contacted, and possibly their reply (HW5) > Any other evidence you have collected that is relevant to your project |
Group task
Your school will have organised for you to meet with and interview a person or persons of power and influence relating to your project.Your teacher will provide the details.
As a group you need to come up with a list of pre-prepared questions to ask the person or persons during the interview. These questions need to be submitted via your subject leader in advance of the interview to give the interviewee the chance to formulate their considered response.
If you are sharing the interview with other groups you may find some of your questions get rejected as they are too similar to the questions other groups wish to ask.

Task
Using the worksheet, please come up with a list of ten questions that you would like to ask as a group, who you intend to ask the question to, why you are asking this question and finally what your anticipated response is. |
Gathering evidence
Just like the drones in the starter video, you need to gather evidence of the interview, including the questions that were asked and the answers given. As a group, consider what additional evidence you may wish to collect and what information it will provide. Write up your answers on Resource 9, P.165 of the teachers book. |
Ensure you write up your work into Resource 9
