At Christmas most UK citizens enjoy time with their family and loved ones. They spend lavishly on gifts and food, this is often a time when they are at their happiest and most content.
This has often been found to be a good time to remind people of those less fortunate that themselves, those who are not enjoying the same comforts and luxuries. |
Individual task - you taking action
As discussed earlier, Christmas may not be the right time for all appeals so you task will leave hard campaigning for the time being to give you an opportunity to do something for someone else this Christmas, using your position of influence as a part member to help.
Every student needs to undertake one of the following tasks: > Create a poster to support a charitable cause > Create a presentation to be shown to younger year groups reminding them of a given cause over the Christmas period > Write a letter or email to a person in a position of power or influence suggesting how they could use their position to support a particular cause this Christmas. Use the images to the left as suggestions. |
