Developing your skills - Questionnaires
During this unit we will look at developing several of you advocacy and representation skills that will assist you with your citizenship campaigns. Today we are going to focus on questionnaires.
Displaying your results
> Once you have used your questionnaire to carry out a survey, you need to work out what the results mean. > Graphs & charts generated through a spreadsheet like Microsoft Excel are a good example > It is a good idea to make a written comment next to each chart or graph explaining what the results show. Although it may be obvious to you as you conducted the survey, an examiner may not find it so easy to understand. |
Before you start
> Consider what you want to find out > Make the questions clear > Make sure the questions are quick to answer (i.e. used closed questions where you can) > Consider the order of the questions > Avoid obvious questions (e.g. would you be cruel to an animal?) > Make sure you do not offend (e.g. never ask a person their age, ask what age bracket they are in) |
