> I have considered the difference my party and I can make to the school, the local area, to a national issue > I have been involved with a second party meeting putting forward my throughts and adeas as well as listening to those of others > I have been involved with setting several actions for the party to take on its campaign including a homework task that I h=will provide evidence for next lesson |

What can each party do to make a difference?
Note down any activities that you believe your party could undertake to 'make a difference', the video opposite may help. Stretch & Challenge Do any of your group have particular skills, experience, contacts, etc that would make a particular action a viable option? |
Actions to consider
> Lobbying local council or your local MP - You could write to a person in a position of power or influence requesting them to take a certain action. This may be more convincing if you can prove there is popular support for your cause.
> Making use of the school council - Can you make use of the school council system, by sending through requests at the next meeting. Finding out who your form council representative are is a good place to start.
> Actions in school - You may have come up with some fantastic things that you could do in school, however remember you need to seek permission from the relevant person. You class teacher will be able to support you in this.
> Education - remember that educating people is an action, what could you do to inform people about a particular issue to encourage them to change their behaviour for the better?
> Charities - Does your party believe in a certain cause that has a charity attached? If so prehaps you could undertake an action that raises money for the charity.
> Events - These can take a lot of work and planning, not to mention permission from the right people. However if you are willing to put in the effort, prehaps your party could host an event for a particular cause.
Please remember to seek and listen to advice from your class teacher. They are the best source of infomation and guidane as to what can and cannot be achieved given the time and resources available to you.
